Crossrail is the new East – West rail line across central London. Crossrail 2 (the Chelsea – Hackney line) is also proposed. The lines, which are designed to reduce travel congestion and disruption, are comprised of overground and underground sections of track. Development of the track means that the areas surrounding it are subject to additional planning restrictions. This information layer shows the extent of the areas affected, with links to the Crossrail website which displays plans of the exact routes.
