Map and data licences
We offer the expired data licence management tool, a complete system for centrally managing licenses for all the data your company exports via FIND. Also on offer are two mapping licences from the Ordnance Survey that extend what you can do with their maps and who you can share them with.

Expired data licence management tool
FIND's simple yet advanced data licence management tool allows you and your company to track your data licenses, be informed of when they are due to expire, and be able to quickly and easily renew just the licenses you need.

Ordnance Survey Paper Map Copying Licence
FIND is pleased to offer the Ordnance Survey Paper Map Copying Licence. In most cases, a licence is required. In summary, subject to the applicable fee being paid, this licence allows a business to: Copy unlimited amounts of original Ordnance Survey mapping to support day-to-day business administration.

Ordnance Survey Standard Licensed Use
The previous Plan, Design and Build Licence and Internal Business Use licences have been merged into a single licence, called Standard Licensed Use (SLU). This change was made to help project managers and users of OS data who are undertaking a single project being worked on by many seperate bodies. Under SLU, you can legally share Ordnance Survey mapping with other project participants, throughout every stage of a project.

Commercial data use licence guide
FIND Maps has received a number of requests to create a summary to assist with commercial use of data from the Environment Agency, British Geological Survey and other data sources. There is often some confusion over whether a dataset needs a licence for commercial use or not. Our PDF guide clarifies this for over 50 datasets from the Environment Agency, British Geological Survey, Ordnance Survey, Natural England, Countryside Council for Wales, and Scottish Natural Heritage.
